About

Live in Yorkshire, going into my second year studying Occupational Therapy at Sheffield Hallam University. Loving it. Not taking many photos these days but trying to do more!

PANORAMAS

I became interested in Photography in 2001. After taking some nice shots while living in Hungary on a gap year after school I bought a Casio prosumer digital camera and then a Canon G2.

In December 2004 I got a Canon 300D DSLR. To go with this I now have:
Canon 17-85 IS USM
Sigma 55-200 DC
Canon 50mm f1.8
Lensbaby Mk1
Extension tubes

I also have a Canon G5

Thanks for looking

Ian

Thanks to Suzan (Megamuff8) for my profile pic, from the York Epz meet, Feb 2005.

Showcase details:
First row are all sepia-ish shots.
Second row are all taken on underground train systems.
Then there's a selection of black and white images and a couple of my favourites.

Thanks for your input. I am still training my eye. I didn't notice the wall (actually a rail) in the different versions of this picture. It's cut out of most of them but the way I cropped it for ephotozine left it in.

When I took it I was unaware that f22 and a long exposure would produce such a twinkly effect. I too think it is a bit exaggerated but still kind of like it. I'm experimenting with different techniques.

Again, thanks for your comments!
Hey Ian....Just a comment to say hello and tell you how much I enjoy checking out your photos, you go to great lengths for that perfect shot.
Am so glad that we were able to meet in person, I learned a great deal just watching how you take your shots.
I have great respect for your work through photos as well as the volunteer work you have done and I'm sure still do. Your web site was very interesting and gave such an insight on the true person you really are...Thank You for always making me smile!

OK, enough mush, now for the Very Important Question...........who took that Fantastic BIO shot of you??!! LOL!!!
Cheers and have a great day,
Suzan Smile
