Excellent light on the cliffs and the sand ripples leading in to the shot. Great reflections along the wet sand .No issues from me . The sky of course could be better but it's not bad and does allow eveything else which is great.....Phil

Superb leading lines throughout! Ripples in the foreground, cliff reflection in the mid and cliff edge as a focal point... very nice composition indeed. (wish it were mine).

Love the light and colours. For me, this is 2 separate images - one of the sand details and the other of the cliffs and reflection. I think the great photo might be the rocks and sand with the cliffs and sky cropped out?

You could be right Vicky. Because of the uninteresting sky, I did think about doing this, then I thought, leave it to the EPZ members to decide. Critique is always welcome and for beginners a great learning curve.
Regards Ian

The ripples and reflections are beautiful, as is the light on the cliff. The sky looks a little 'worked', perhaps to bring some colour into it? I'd be inclined to leave it lighter and with less detail, as it may 'recede' more readily then and allow the really lovely rest of the image to steal the show. Just a thought. Smile

Thanks Leigh, I knew this would be one of the issues and would agree with your thoughts. Sometimes trying to make a sky work when it hardly exists can be the downfall for an otherwise OK image?

Tis a nice shot, but I would be tempted to go square, crop out the cliff leave its reflection and take a smidge off the bottom.
