What makes a great photo!

In two words, Composition and Light! Other factors, such as aspect ratio and minor artifacts from the digital processes affect the overall impression to some extent, but not nearly so much as the photographer's ability to compose the image both in terms of content and subject lighting. While I pride myself in the ability to discern these qualities in other photographers images, I have no illusions about my lack of ability to execute them! Once in a while I might produce an image of decent quality, but that is mostly accidental, I am not a photographic artist! Ephotozine seems to attract a lot of superior photographers!
