Gletscherschlucht, Grindelwald

By ihana
The river that flows from the glaciers beside the Eiger has cut this deep canyon into the rock.
There is a lake that has formed higher up the river that will one day burst through the wall of ice and rock that is currently holding it up. This day in May was thought to be that day as a large amount of rocks had fallen into the lake, creating a big cloud of dust.
The dust also made for some unique light as the sun set. Luckily the lake didn't burst its ice dam that night.
