Black & White

By Ingleman
Just discovered the D200 shoots in B&W. Makes you think differently and composition seems more crucial somehow. Slightly adjusted in Elements 3 to increase contrast, and cloned out some dust which I couldn't see.

I'm still up too! I've seen this done before, but I like this, very clean & professional.

I'm up and slightly tideley (hic).
I thought the idea of the B/W mode was to convert "other" shots ,not take a B/W subject in the 1st place.
Mind you it is well taken.

Hi Kieth.ta for the comment. I'll try anything once..but in the case of mulled wine maybe another one might help. Cheers!

That's a beautifully clean shot, nice angle, and don't you just LOVE the Sigma macro lenses!? D200 is next on my wish-list...

I'll check out the rest of your portfolio when I have more time Smile

Yes, I've seen it done before too but the angle this is taken at and the clarity make it a nice, clean, simple image (despite the dust!).

Thanks Andy, that strikes a chord! I appreciate all the comment, this is probably one of my own favourites because it is so simple. On that note, cheers...

Hi Andy - I love these stark black and white shots that you do so well - You asked if my "Lovers in Lvov" picture was posed - No, it was just as I saw it - If I had posed it it probably wouldn't have worked out so well - Keep up the good work - Best wishes - John

Thanks John..nice to hear from you. I like inanimate objects, they're great fun. I gave up weddings because the **%%$'s wouldn't stand still! (I think I need to get out more) Hoping to go to the 'med' in the summer so will use my polariser and try to get some more involving shots. Looking out for more of your work which is brilliant. Thanks...Andy I
