Just Gyp

By Irishkate
A little relief today from snow scenes for you and relief for me that we
had a successful evening with our Borbasket event with seven participating clubs with our club coming in 3rd place.I was chairing and started out a bit nervous but all seemed to go well.
My thanks to everyone for v& c for Moods of Morlich (special thanks to Isabel (Chinga) for her valued User Award.
Also a huge thank you to Graham(digital-boi), willie(banehawi),TanyaH and Nezih(nonur) for the mods with how they'd done them. All slightly different and very useful information as these Kood filters do give quite a colour cast. Are Lees and Hi Tec much better?

A beautiful floral arrangement. I particularly like your choice of vase, the colour is stunning and works so very well with the white.

Like the high key snowy effect, Kate although the blue does take over a bit. I've used the HiTec grads and NDs without problem although the ND reverse did give a magenta cast. The Hitec Firecrest ones are supposed (!) to be good.

A beautiful compo for this beautiful image, Kate. I like that curve, the great colour contrast of the vase and the slight blur of the background.

I like the composition and contrast of the flowers and the blue vase. I might have been tempted to use a larger aperture to further blur/smooth out the background to make the flowers stand out more (against the background) - just a thought.

Lovely image but I do think the blue takes over a littleWink
Regarding the filters, I use Hi tec and have never had a problem. The only time I get the colour cast is if I put the 0.9 together with the 0.6 so I tend to use exposure bracketing if the contrast between sky and fg is too greatSmile
