You've captured it well with a good composition. You're lucky to be going back - I'm jealous.
I think it would look better if you either increased your depth of field so the hills in the background were also in focus OR deliberately reduce the DoF so they are even more out of focus. I'm guessing it was hand-held? A tripod would really sharpen it up.

looks so nice there, and it's very rare to get a shot looking back to land - no one really knows that there's a cliff behind it and a bit of a walk to get there!

cojposuitionally this is fine, gets the message accross well, lots of shapes and patterns.
Exposure.. mabe a 1 or 2 stop ND grad would help with the sky, but it's not burned totally, so ok there.
Sharpenss - that's an issue here, it's probably worh going back with a tripod, setting the same shot up at F16 and setting it off with the timer or the cabel release. Focus on the top of the foreground or just in front, should get the lot crisp then.
