You have managed the constrast well - there is detail in the highlights and the shadows.

A few more weeks and the leaves will hide this side of the tower. You've caught it well, the shadows aren't too deep and we can still see the windows.

Very nice image I tend to agree with your mum on the shadows, either darken them to fully put them into shadowor lighten them to show more of the stone work, but having said that, its nicely composed, and had very nice light.

I like this Eliza - a bold shot though it would be nice to see a touch more detail in the shadow. A great view point and I like the way the sunlight catches the branches of the tree.
