Blubberhouses Moor

I was glad to hear that some of you spent the weekend in Blubberhouses; one of my favourite places. This is a remote spot on the moors above Blubberhouses that used to be a popular route with corn traders in the 1700s. This was the last picture I took before leaving the UK .

Lovely rich colours. Nice composition. The Heather was all black amidst beige, but I like this. Has a wonderful warm feel to it and captures the beauty of the area nicely. Colin

JP this is gorgeous. Such delicious colours and a wonderful softness. The stones in the cairn are beautifully brought out too .. 5 from me Grin

Thanks for the comments. Blubberhouses is a little settlement just North of Harrogate on the Skipton Road. This moor is most easily accesed from the spooky village of Timble just north of Otley. It's mountain bike heaven up here.
