The Queen visits today

By JackAllTog
The Queen in her car visiting the Honourable Artillery Company today opposite where i work. polariser used to try and reduce reflections, ISO400. (P Mode - F5 1/200)
She was reviewing a company of "17th century" soldiers in London.
The Company of Pikemen and Musketeers of the Honourable Artillery Company welcomed the monarch and Duke of Edinburgh to their headquarters. The pikemen and musketeers wear the uniform of the period of Charles I and can be seen at state and civic occasions and serve as the Lord Mayor of London's bodyguard.
The royal couple will later join the military veterans for a formal photograph then attend a reception.

Hey Jalapeno - thats a great mod, it nicely removes some glare and a give a real old feel - thanks.
I'm assuming you removed colour information, increased contrast then adjusted the colour some how, is this approximatly right?

I was just looking at the photo and thinking a sepia effect would look just great. Then saw the mod ... wow! The mod is just great. Diserves my vote for being a source to the mod.

IŽll defenitely try my own mod as soon as I get back from holiday ...

I took it into Camera Raw 6.0 Stuart and dragged the black slider all the way to 100 to bring back the colour then if i remember rightly i had to increase the exposure slightly and used the new noise reduction slider in detail to smoot it out, then i took it into photoshop and selectivly burned down some areas that were showing reflection or still looked a bit washed out, also a bit of cloning on the Queens face and a crop.
Hope this helps
