Wow, what an exciting launch presentation from Canon detailing their EOS mirrorless bodies, New lenses and a great printer.
I have a big interest in the Canon EOS R6 as my intended next camera body, this seems like the right choice as they say the R6 is the natural next step for both the 7D and 6D lines. I'm also assuming from that there are no new APS-c mirrorless offerings in the near future. - This may not be such bad news when you hear about the 600mm & 800mm f11 lenses with DOF at 3-4cm at min focus.
Will i miss that LCD top information panel?
It looks like it might be a popular choice too as straight afterwards the Canon web site was having issues - https://www.canon.co.uk/cameras/cameras/eos-r6/
The event is an interesting watch see here:

Anyway, for me I love getting the image right in low light and the 20MP sensor going up to a native ISO of 102,400 extendable to 204,800 and with -6.5ev (moonlight) AF possible you are sure to capture much more in poor light.8 Stops of in-body stabilization means hand held shot of 1s plus are possible Lens stabilisation add to this with both the body and the lens system targeting different stability issues.
The AF finds the subjects head then tracks to the eyes.
Especially with full frame AF tracking of people and animals.
The new 100 to 500mm lens (f5.6 @400mm) is a premium product but of much more interest for me is the 800mm f11 lens, assuming the ePhotozine review loves it too I've always felt range was missing with my shift from APS-c to FF but now i see a route to get this back and then some! Also with 2xTC's (f22) that still will allow focus i might see whole new wildlife opportunities. The 800mm has a min focus of 6M - perhaps perfect for my bird table, the lenses are said to be light enough to handhold too.
Canon reminds us to print photos too with a very capable a3 10 ink printer.
Now all i need is my amazon wish list updated - 6R + 85mm f2 + 800mm + EF adapter for all my old lenses.
Thanks Canon.
