Odd, but i'm just not finding the time to actually process and post photo's at the moment.
I've had 3 model shoots and 2 friend shoots but posted almost nothing.
Its because I'm expecting to see a good improvement in my photo's with careful processing and a few people have given me a steer as to what i could try. But these techniques need time and I'm struggling to find big enough chunks of time at the moment.
Its daft as I could still post a few photo's as they are but want each one to be the best it can be, and anyway a few might not be quite right for this portfolio but then as my name is Jack of all trades photographer - that should not matter.
I will return with photo's soon as otherwise i'll just explode from not posting and proving to myself if i've learnt anything or been able to try a new idea.
I've my annual charity shoot this Saturday - shooting the setting up helpers, the guests, the dancers and muscians etc. Spare batteries ordered, formatted cards ready, flash batteries ready, gells ready. This year i hope i can be more liberal with the ISO as my new LR4 is very good at noise reduction. Maybe by next year a FF 6D might give another ISO boost from my 60D.
Note to self - more Close-ups and less crowds - and listen out for the Indian national anthem this time.
New bigger venue in NW london so no idea on what light i'll find, I onle have the kit i have anyway so whatever will be what it is.
Then sort this out and get my model site profiles (e.g. http://www.purestorm.com/profile.aspx?id=JackAllTog) more specific and i think my mixed approach is to wide and amateur for finding regular local models to work with for free.
Maybe i'll actually need to specialise more and change my profile name here to Genre1Photos or something specific - all the people i follow are followed because each has a particular style that i like them for. Something AdeMcFade kinda said ages back.
What would I enjoy shooting most to focus on?
