Shortlist and Long list

This year is going to be a challenging one for photography, on the one hand I've got a camera (6D) i really love on the other i seem to have less and less time to shoot. And my plan for a home studio is as far away as ever and even less time (none) to set up in the front room.

So instead of working harder i need to work smarter. Some ideas are to take less quantity and try to take shots that need less editing.
Others are to force myself to see more opportunities for quick wins. One good example of this was this on FB where on the walk home i stopped for 30 secs, then LR processed it for 2 mins.

One way of doing this is to force me to think in new categories - and the daily photo month forum idea is my intended stimulus - either i submit a previous portfolio image of take a new one each day - if i do this more times that not i'm forcing myself to consider new ideas. Even if they are at the expense of well planned ideas.
Be aware I'll be looking for 'something different' as an interpretation whenever possible.

So that's my long list.
My Short list is the Bokeh one shortlisted last month, handheld decoration with handheld camera & 40mm pancake lens. A quick win in my new epz driven ideas genre.
