Yey, started shooting and posting again

From doing almost nothing, It now looks like I'm hitting back to back Saturday shoots faster than I can process (yes i know, shoot better, process less Wink - i'm trying ) these look like they will go through Feb and into March. All new new models looking for TFCD including I hope my first Bloke - proper Boxer/Martial arts guy - he said their was no need for him to bring a chaperone Wink
Next aspiration - get a clothing designer to want me to shoot and then know I might be able to finally start charging for shoots and still keep a regular flow of subjects.

Last Saturday week - I got to spend a long relaxing with shoot with Jacky (last few shots on my profile) and really enjoyed her enthusiasm and energy to give modelling shot for a while. Might even get a 2nd shoot and get to shoot her brother too Smile She has asked for a few to be processed so we'll see.

Saturday just gone i did my annual charity shoot for a friend to record the evening's event, Setting up, the meal, the speeches/Party/Dancing etc. Should have about 100 keepers after checking them. LR4 noise reduction helps loads, as does bulk process.
Also worked out what those Big copy and paste buttons in the LR dev module do - Doh, they copy the adjustments from one file to another - obvious now i think about it.
Also in Dev mode you can press the 12345 keys to set star ratings, before this i was flipping back between library and dev mode for each photo.
Its good to have lots to do as it forces you to look for short cuts and learn how adjustments work.

It does though remind me how slow my laptop is getting for editing more than one thing at a time. But I also want a 6D for low light performance, and a tablet for editing.
The dedicated home studio site area (8M by 5M) is now prepared for building, but, and its a very big but, just can't afford to do it for a while - so it will be vegetable patch for a while, maybe I can dig the foundations in while digging the crops up later in the year Smile

So recent successes - Sekonic confirming my studio lights performance, a Shoot with Jacky and the charity event with LR4's help.

Aspiration - still to do more fashion editing in styles i want to emulate and with hints offered to me.

An optimistic end to January with potential building blocks for improvements in February.

Also works in Library Module as does setting the colour labels using 6,7,8,9

With the colour labels you can define your own description for each colour, plus Mauve which does not have a number short cut.

Liking you positive energy...you might pass that on to a few who're suffering from a lack of inspiration. Looking forward to seeing your future efforts Smile
