Ford Anglia

By James124
For today another classic car, a 1959 Ford Anglia 100E which was in the car park of the hotel we stayed at in England last week. Set of 4 views, pretty much as from camera. Memories for some no doubt my father had on for a time.
(Damn! I forgot it's Saturday shadows!)

And thank you for your much appreciated votes and comments on The hidden chapel yesterday.

Shadows are not compulsory on Saturdays, James, so no apologies required Wink
In any case, all four versions display shadows.

My father owned an Anglia of that generation; it was the first new car he had ever owned in 20 years of driving. He didn't want to put a dog in a new saloon so his Anglia was actually a Thames van. I think he added a rug in the back for us kids . . . No seat-belt legislation in those days let alone Health 'n Safety . . . .
After a couple of years he switched to a new Minor 1000 - - - and soon wished he hadn't - - -

Good images of this 'classic.' My father drove one owned by the transport company he worked for. LRG285 was the registration. Three forward gears and one reverse. It was eventually put off the road because the exhaust smoke was impairing the visibility for other drivers.

Well, they include some shadows for Saturday, James! 👍 A fine set of this classic car, popular when I were a lad, the lead being my fave 😃

Lovely memory lane trip, my Dad had the later, more angular version in grey and maroon! You have some sneaky shadows in the versions James!

Have a good Saturday.

I remember those external sun visors. Optional extras.
My first car was the model after this, the 105E.
