Finally the Kingfisher landed on my very own perch! Pity the light was completely wrong and exposure of the bird has blown the water. Would have been perfect for one of those HDR efforts but that's beyond me.
Still. as Hannibal says "I love it when a plan comes together".

Wonderful shot well done indeed.... I've been staking out a perch of my own with very limited success, my last three visits I've had nothing, so good on ya!

Thanks all very much.

Jon I waited a few hours over a few days for this though. Of course it landed much further down the perch than I anticpated, it was supposed to land higher up where some trees would have formed the BG and the light would have been better. I'll keep plugging away though till he visits again.

Jude I'm sure there's a river or nature reserve near you with Kingfishers just screaming to be photographed.
