Tabitha

Was really just testing out the notorious noise levels at the higher iso settings on my newly acquired FZ7 with this pic, taken in very dim fluorescent light in Macro mode - no adjustments outside camera except crop & resize.

Very well done portrait. Some more details in the furr would be good, but thew lighting in such conditions is not the easy task. Great portrait of the cat.

Thanks to everyone for looking, clicking or commenting - I welcome any feedback, especially critique and advice on how to improve. Smile

Ambmilan - I agree about the detail and intend to try some more planned cat portraits in future, assuming cats will co-operate! This one was an impromptu shot; I was sitting in bed fiddling with the menus on my new camera and reading the manual, as you do, when Tabs jumped up to tell me my attention should be on her. Lit by a dim bedside lamp and well outside the camera's stated macro focus range, I was pleasantly surprised it worked at all.

Cats can be very difficult subjects. I think you have done well here considering the lighting limitations. Welcome to epz.

Close ups of cats faces work really well. Got good results for mine too.
