Just got back this afternoon from a week-long trip back to Iceland yet again, I can't get enough of the place! I think this sort of photograph shows why...

Dawn over Grundarfjordur and Kirkjufjell, a truly fantastic light and colour display that I've only known Iceland capable of...

This was taken with my new 5D mkII - sensational camera - the one wedding I've shot with this camera blew me away as regards ISO capabilities, and the same was true for image quality in landscapes, simply superb.

Nothing has been added or changed within this image except to sharpen it for the web. It is as-shot.

Phil - I'd only been here once before, but such a difference! Last time, in the summer, no snow but plenty of rain and mist. I knew the potential, and was aching for some light and colour, but no joy. I had to go back. There are hundreds of places similarly etched on my mind, it's both frustrating and incredibly rewarding, and is a real inspiration to keep plugging certain sites and finally get something truly worthwile.
