One from the archives...

Crich stand is something of an anomoly - A lighthouse miles from the sea. Set atop a hill in Derbyshire, it is the regimental memorial for the Sherwood Foresters. It's also just around the corner from where I was born, and spent the formative years of my life growing up.

It wasn't until this evening that I've ever managed to process this file in a way that I feel that I've done it justice. Now it brings back happy memories.

Excellent depiction of one of our heritage monuments. The gradations of colour from the bottom to the top add impact. Very good sky, with its definition of clear sky and formed clouds.
Good work.

Love the tones through the grassy bank, the tower really pops out against the wonderful sky. Like the way you've used the fence line to balance the shot to.

Like how the lines in the clouds seem to diverge from the tower

Superb work. The tonal range is perfect. Love the way you've brought out the lighthouse.
