Sunrise Castle

By jammy_sam
This shot was taken a little after 6:15am just before Christmas, i've been a bit slack on my processing so its taken a while to show up!

Just after taking this shot a set my camera up for a longer exposure to smooth out the sea. As soon as i'd pressed the shutter release a hugh wave came in and covered me up to my knees in salty, ice cold water! The camera was all fine though which i guess is a god send. I did get some funny looks walking back to my car as my feet were making some interesting squelshing sounds!!! Wink

The hint of pink amongst all the blue tones is sublime, with a good strong silhouette and I also like the strong reflection in the wet sand. Had to giggle at the narrative, I think we have all been there with the wet feet scenario as we suffered for our art.

A nice shot, the blue colour is very appealing.

Lovely shot and it looks so calm, sorry about your feet, salt water is good for you though, lovely colour.

mmm, this is an awesome shot and deserves far more than the 10 votes you have received (it's got 11 now). I just love the colours and timing couldn't be more perfect. The horizon is a little central so I think you can afford to lose a little trim off the sky but that's just nit picking! A great effort.

So there are two 6.15's in the day - I never knew!
