A classic pictorial shot that has some seasonal feeling. Compostion is ok but feel that there should be some foreground interest to lead you into the frame. What this could be in this instance involves observing what is directly in front of you.

The 'almost original' was a good shot itself, but I like the colouring that you have used here to enhance the autumn feeling!

Had a look at the mods and can't help but think that between the three versions there is an absolutely blinding shot to be had, the foreground from Vintage Red, the middle with the figure from your shot and the trees from your mod. Maybe I'll have a crack sometime.
All that said, I really think that the posted shot is the best, it has a subtlety the others lack, and I like that. The colours are rich and the composition works really well.
