Very good shot. Not 100% sure but the nearest I can find in my ID books is the Silver Washed fritillary,
Try Googling it and you may have some success.

First class macro work,, Quoise - I just love the way it's wrapping its little legs round the stem of the leaf!
It's as if its life depends on it which, it most probably does!!

I used to like find hairy caterpillars in the garden when I were a lad, pick them up and play with them. Don't think I'd want to try to pick up this one though! Grin A great find, Quoise, and a super close-up capture Wink
