Lochan Na h'Achlaise

By jeanie
A very cold start this morning along Rannoch Moor for our last shoot of our holiday before heading home. The car was flashing ice alert as it was 3 degrees.... brrrr...
After the sun burned through the mist we got some nice light though Smile

It does feel surreal now though to think earlier today I had this view and now I am sat in the lounge staring at a pile of unpacking!!! Best get on with it Smile

Damn, already given my UA away today. I honestly believe this is one of the most dramatic shots I have seen on this site in the nine years I've been a member, reminds me of Highlander's work (god rest his sole). Jeanie this really is a magical shot

Spectacular arrangement and atmospheric conditions, it looked like a special morning on facebook and even better now the finished image is on EPZ. Thoroughly deserves the EC and many UAs. This one shot alone would make the trip worth it in my eyes but I'm sure you have many other greats! Welcome home anyway. Smile

Thanks also for the welcome home, Al. Chris sent me a message today with a photo of some snow on the Buachaille - I knew it was forecast and cold enough on Saturday but I can't get my head round it only being September! Smile

Snow and 120mph gusts on the Cairngorm plateau today apparently Jeanie, there was certainly enough cloud out to spoil the sunrise from where Sookie and I were standing this morning!
