Salford Gold II

By jasonrwl
Thank you for your votes and comments on yesterday's image and particularly to Kate (Irishkate) for her helpful comments concerning the brightness. I have tried to tone down the water in this one somewhat and will be interested to see what you all think. I have enabled mods if anybody wants to have a go. For interest, I have uploaded the out of camera jpeg as v2.

Thanks for looking
Jason

From V2 to V1 - what a journey!
Yes I like the darker mood of this one Jason the sky now becomes the star of the image
with the buildings the support act.

V1 is superb for me, Jason. The compo and clarity are beyond praise. Wish I had another UA to give.

A great demonstration of good processing and just what can be extracted from a RAW file, V1 for me. Looking back to your previous upload, I think this one works better with the water toned down, but I prefer the overall composition of the last one in landscape format. In that one, the near side of the quay and the far side leading from the right leads the eye better around the image. In this one there is a lot of separation with the water between the foreground and buildings / sky, which does not work quite as well for me, still a good shot though.
