Durdle Door...The other side

By derekhansen
Just returned from a glorious week in South Dorset so of course I had to do a shoot at Durdle Door. The sharp eyed will notice there is something missing ie the famous arch itself. Well to the left of that headland is another small cove with a rock formation known as Man Of War (presumably because they resemble a warship) and this is where this shot was taken. It really was quite a stunning scene with the mist rolling down the cliffs and the first light of the sun catching the cloud. I did get to that famous arch but not before I got some shots here.

The mist was a blessing and a curse. Trying to get the balance between clarity and obliteration was a challenge I have to say.
