Ljubljana Triple

By Jasper87
For those thinking they had trouble counting the versions, the title is actually the name of the bridge Smile. In order to prevent the 1842 stone arch bridge from being a bottleneck, the architect Jože Plečnik designed an extension to the bridge in 1929 with two footbridges at a slight angle on each side of it. Opened in 1932 and becoming part of the pedestrianized area of Ljubljana, the Capital of Slovenia, in 2007.

ISO 25,600, 1/20sec, f11 @23mm. HANDHELD!! (v2 is the daylight version at only ISO 400, 1/500sec, f11 @40mm)

Love the reflections in both but the night scene is special.

V1 is particularly attractive, and I like that balance with the foreground detail on the right. It's something to lean on as we take in the view...
To my eye it needs a very slight rotation clockwise, I'm looking at the columns of the church. That may be an optical illusion.

Hard to do justice to this amazing 'Triple' but you've certainly
handled these images with your usual skill.

Amazing that it's handheld, Dave. And so clean for ISO 25,600! Great night shot and very picturesque lights and lighting.

Now the light, colour and detail in V2 are simply delish...but for me V1 wins by a hair. I love the mood Smile

Astonishing show of the Mk iii's high ISO performance. The clarity in v1 is terrific and the buildings show up much better than in V2 which feels a little more cluttered. V2 however, lacks the FG bollard obscuring the bridge, which is in it's favour over V1. V1 has the better reflection though. Trust you to be drawn to bridges on holiday! Wink
