Very good, agree with Pamela, is that a butterfly centre bottom?

  • Chesterfield Spire

    Hi
A long time since I have seen the twisted spire, nice shot but perhaps try using a tripod to get sharperfocus.

  • Take Off

    Hi
It looks like a very fine piece of wood with marquetry for the details. Very unusual and imaginative.

  • Double Helix

Thanks Stephen, your comments are very helpful. I am just begininmg to use Photoshop elements 4 and have a lot to learn.I cropped the pic to remove the street scene below the crop which perhaps distracts from the statue.

    Thanks again John

The snake in the mid right worries me
    Nice shot

I used to drive one of these when a young lad on a farm, they were never as shiny as this well restored model. I like your shot and how you have captured the vibrant colour of the 'cheeky' tractor

  • Clent stones

It may improve if the stones were to the left allowing the sun in the clouds to be prominent.

  • Strawberry spout

It would improve if the white bits in the lower part of the photo were removed and greater depth of field to get the strawberry morein focus. Nice shot

  • High Tree Monkey

Wonderful face on the subject, unlike pamelajean I find the green OK but the white distracting. I guess it is a shot that appears and not planned so not much time to position your self to get the ideal background.

  • rock

Sorry but it is difficult to see what you intended with this picture. it is out of focus and looks like a frozen puddle.
Try to get your object in focus, use a tripod or brace against something to keep the camera and youeself still. A description of what you intend would help critics.
    Good luck John

  • Electric sky

I did not recognise the shot until I saw the smoke stacks.
    Good imagination.

  • Red Rose

Agree with the droplet comments. Are they actually on the rose or have you used a water sprayed filter of some kind.

  • still

Try taking from a higher view point, this would remove the distracting sky at the top of the photo and focus on the face and perhaps get the base of the statue in frame.
    Nice subject.
    Cheers John

I like the colours in the sky and the shelter but find the sign post is too much for me. It draws me to it distracting from a fine shot

  • Mr Blue Sky

    Hi David
Nice shot, perhaps we should let Phil know the statue is femail and there are two of them. See my not so good shot taken in January. The comment I had suggested was try a blue sky and how right the comment was.
    Good luck John
