It's a good sky, just crying out for something....a subject. Unfortunately it isn't a picture of anything, and thus looks like a lazy snap - ie you didn't or couldn't go out and find a subject. Almost anything would do, a strong graphic shape to silhouette perhaps, or some local landscape bathed in that lovely light, even a building lit by the colours.

The twin suns don't help, unless you are trying to recreate Luke Skywalker's planet, Tattooine.

As is though, it looks like a misssed opportunity, I'm afraid.

Hi John
I've been in the same position as you were and made the same mistakes.
First, you never take a shot through a window unless you have no alternative, it gives the message you just didn't care about the shot.
Second, as Sooty says some thing in the foreground to give focal point helps display the sky and sunset to its fullest.

This shot does have a positive side, you have a wonderful sky with great colour, however you need to get rid of sun number 2 and I would clone out the top sun as the second gives a nice glow to the trees. Then file the shot for use as an alternative sky for shots that need a boost.

Hope this helps

With almost any image of this type, forgetting the twin suns, you need a subject. Most sunsets act as a foil to a foreground subject or silhouette. Try and include something to act as the compositional focal poinr.
