On My Dam

By Jaye
Although we live in the hinterland a fair way from the sea this Pelican has decided to adopt us..At first I thought he may have been hurt however when he flew off it was fast and high and towards the mountains so I have decided he is just like me has a bad sense of direction..He is usually here most mornings even tho apart from some frogs there is nothing to eat out of the dam...

Nice picture Judith and also an interesting description. Sounds like you should leave something out for him to eat and he may adopt you. John

This is wonderful. The foliage seems to open out to give the bird direction and more space to swim into. The bird and its reflection are superb and I love the contours. You have given it plenty of space, too.

Lovely shot, with great reflection. One of my favourite birds, I'd love to have a resident pelican. Pam
