Unexpected Hug

By Jaye
Fun and games were being enjoyed by both until puppy made a playful leap and a second after this shot Lyza was on the ground and playtime was over as far as she was concerned for the next few seconds whilst she caught her breath and then it was play again as they tried to see who could jump the highest..Enjoy Judith

dogs don't hug.. they mock attack! and that's what this looks like. Hugging is a human characteristic that dogs do not share. Real world? He / she wants to dominate..

Just a lot of fun she was up and playiing with him again which she thought was a lot better than posing for photos for us.The only reason I was able to get the shot was because I had the camera on motor drive as she was having so much fun jumping and playing with him I just kept my finger on the shutter and was amazed I had caught the moment...Judith

From what I can see this is just all fun and play, used to torment my dog (pre marriage) and he would often have a go from behind tail wagging all the time. Used to go to a friends years ago who had a rather big rock-fila called cuddles, aggressive to look at and listen to but would luv the fun of a chase and a wrestling match with the kids who were 4,8, and 10. As for the expression well what would your face look like.
Nicely photographed moment and nothing to worry about.

PS. still won't open sorry.

Judith well timed capture and we have an American Boxer named Tyson who acts the same way as they love to play and sure anyone went near Lyza that pup would be om them in a heart beat as Tyson is very protective of Tyler our son! Lyza and the pup will be buds for a long time!

stay well Judith!

Judith, I like the shot but it is a bit disconcerting. I'm so glad you explained in your comment that this was just play and that the fun continued immediately afterwards.

Quite a split second action shot. You will have to wary of that boisterous behaviour as he gets older though. Little tyke could get hurt.
