Tropical Trio

Tropical Trio by Potra

I prefer the more stylized, slightly monochrome version, makes me wish I was on the beach under the palm trees!

A misty day in the lakes

A misty day in the lakes by georgiepoolie

Great atmosphere, I prefer something with a bit of mystery over the usual sunny day snapshot!

I would have stepped forward a bit in order to capture the full outline of the tree in the field.

Shadow of the Bridge

Shadow of the Bridge by BillyGoatGruff

Not a common view, usually photos are of the bridge and gorge, not the town on top.

The strong diagonal of the shadow makes for a dynamic composition, well done.

The Hind, Jackdaw & Fly

The Hind, Jackdaw & Fly by MossyOak

As a rule I switch off ephotozine anytime there are three or more bird or 'flowers in my garden' shots but this stands out because something is actually happening for a change, the subjects have character and they have been captured beautifully. I would have cloned out the fly and cropped it into a portrait, but each to their own.

Liverpool in the sun

Liverpool in the sun by datacut

I like the detail and you've caught the lighting at its most dramatic, well done. You've done your best to avoid that blot of a building in between which has ruined what used to be Britain's finest waterfront.

Go Birdie, Go!

Go Birdie, Go! by Ezekiel

Great contrast - the earthbound half is gritty, industrial, weighed down by the detritus of humanity - then you have the airborne half: ethereal, celestial, almost a heavenly vision, like the Holy Spirit descending as a dove. Gets my vote!

Lightness of Being

Lightness of Being by ziher

I like it, I'm always a sucker for shadows

On guard

On guard by TrikerSticks

Perfect for a xmas card (once you crop out the lower half), well spotted

Great colours, light, reflections and details. Well spotted, especially with the figure at the centre. It's Manchester though, not Salford Smile

I would have gone for a portrait format with the large columns framing either side.

V2 for me, it illustrates the story behind the tradition perfectly!

Mountain Goat family.

Great expressions! You were very lucky to catch this moment when each family member is distinct yet interacting, a great shot.

Retford Sunset

Retford Sunset by Indy

I love sunsets, each one is different and this is one indeed superb. Well spotted!

It's nearly impossible to have any foreground detail without ND grad filters, so I would have aimed higher, making the trees into silhouettes so the house isn't looming in the dark.

Willow tit

Willow tit by Steve_S

I agree with all the above, but I'm wondering what it would look like if you rotated and cropped so that the branch went pretty much from corner to corner, with the bird at an angle? Right now the bird looks a bit static to me, near horizontal as it is.

H ( no frills )

H ( no frills ) by kitsch

I like it a lot. I wonder if it would be better with a portrait crop? I see a curve going through the arm on the left and own the dress which would look particularly dramatic in a portrait crop, just my 2p!

Flower Meadow

Flower Meadow by brian1208

Vibrant colours, well lit, really sets the mood.

I've clicked the larger version and still can't tell, but is there a church tower at the centre?

Butterfly by DERIC

Bold colours, great detail, nice and sharp. Reduce distractions by cropping out that leaf at the top and darken the tip of leaf and bright fuzzy spot under it the antenna. Just my 2p!
