    This was the full frame. I wasn't sure how much to keep or which way to crop. I know it is spoiled by the aircraft track.

    If you print onto canvas you'll probably find that it would work. I found several years ago that because of the bleed effect on canvas you need to over-sharpen to make it work. I don't know what effect you've used but it should have a similar result.

  • Try it with the Marigold. It should be very easy to make the selection with such a clear edge and the existing background will probably work ok. Even Adobe admit that sometimes you get unpredictable results . Don't know whether this is supposed to happen , but it usually does.

  • Tried it myself with your marigold and it works quite well . Dont understand why it should draw colour from something that isn't selected , but it does.
