Common Blue - Polyommatus icarus

By jaymark1
I was just starting to get into focus with this little beauty, when some guys walked past me, I noticed they were taking, a bit too much interest in my camera equipment, they carried on walking, only to stop, turn round then and walk back in my direction, two came around the front of me and one around the back of me, lucky for me, my car was only a short distance from me, so I just grab my stuff, jump into the car and off up the road, I felt very uncomfortable with this, it makes you feel like packing it all in.

Am I the only one to feel like this?

What an awful experience glad you managed to get to the safety of your car, I think we are all vulnerable when out on our own with our camera gear so sad to feel this way. Stunning image,

A beautiful specimen, very well posed and captured with glorious colour and pin sharp detail, whilst at the same time the clutter free background allows one to fully appreciate the shape and form without any unnecessary distraction. "Superb image Jay"

Lovely shot John. You're not the only one to feel a bit uneasy when out and about with their camera gear.

Still, you managed to capture this beautiful image. Well done.

A very unfortunate experience John and I am very pleased you were close to your car. It is a sad state of the life we now live in. I was brought up and live in a major city where this kind of incident is all too common. I am very careful of where I use a camera and seldom use a tripod.......you even have to be careful where you use a mobile phone. Don't be put off by this incident just be a little more aware of things happening away from your lens.
This shot proves you are too good to give up..........a superbly composed and detailed image.
Thank you Keith for the Guest Editors' Award.
