  • Is this sharp enough

Hi All thanks for your input, i have no problem with the f2.8 70-200mm lens tack sharp, i bought this lens for a trip to Cuba for travel photography, thinking i could buy the extender and then use it for wildlife when i get home( very little experience) only bought it saturday.
I put it on the camera on Sunday and even in very good light and very fast shutter speed i feel the sharpness of the image is compromised. do i need to keep practising of exchange it for the 400mm f5.6? Many thanks for you thoughts julie

  • child hi- lite background

Thanks everyone for making the effort to help me with this, It was the lighting i am trying to get right the child (my grandson) was getting fed up, the light that looks like it is coming from the side is bleeding from the hi-lite background the hottest part of the image is the side where the head goes into the zip in the background, either this or the light i have to the front is bouncing off the background and being reflected back on him, willie i love your crop and repositioning of the marbles, i was going for a high key look however i wanted the child to be lit properly with detail, what am i doing wrong

Kind Regards and many thanks to everyone juie

  • Megan

I am having the same sort of problem, i think the subject is too close to the background and the light is bleeding on to the baby, i have a similar shot of my grand son, i would be very interested on what people who know say on this one. Of course i might be way out and this was the effect you wanted?
