Quote:Well i really like the idea and thought process behind this image.
in many ways its an excellent observation and creative juxtaposition with the diagonals and use of feet.

in some ways its pretty much a salon type image but i fear it was possibly grabbed without sufficient planning, consequently and rather unfortunately the execution didnt quite match up to the idea. this is a little surprising really because i thought the auto focus would have settled on the foreground steps and yet the zone of sharpness is further back.

the steps and paving needed to be razor sharp and ideally any slight movement on the feet would then have been a bonus.

    its still a terrific idea

  • Patricia, thanks for your comments re- did Albi cathedral with plain back ground you were alsolutely right. On the blue birds I hesitated on cloning out the left hand bird and kept it for continuity- I have to agree though it looks better without.

I really appreciate your time and comments thanks a million.

    Best wishes John

  • Keith,Thanks for your comments, If I remember correctly this was taken a couple of years ago. I have two lenses in the kit 14 - 45 and 45 150. I think that this was with the 14- 45 set on macro. I just kept at it until I got a sharp focus I have a very old version of Photoshop but quite like using the sharpening tool and then using ctl uI play a bit with the mater and seperate colours. Thats about it, Cheers John
  • Hi and thanks for your comments much appreciated and I like the sharpening effect very much. I love the wild life shots that you have done - I have a vulture that will be making its way soon and would really appreciate your view on it. Best wishes John
