I wondered where they had got to as I hadn't seen them for a while.....
This is a stunning capture, you can almost feel the cold coming out of the screen.
The detail, colours & DoF are wonderful.

Well because most of us have had to look it up I thought it might help the next person to know the following
Ents are a fictional race of humanoid trees from J. R. R. Tolkien 's fantasy world of Middle-earth. They appear to have been inspired by the talking trees of many of the world's folklores (see tree (mythology) for more information). At the time The Lord of the Rings takes place, there are no young ents (known as entings) because the entwives (female ents) were lost

I'm glad you've been able to educate english literature as well as photography. This is a lovely scene. The comp is excellent and some interesting and unexpected colourin the foreground.

Nicely composed and captured John......I bet you had to be quick with this shot,incase the Ent saw you creeping up behind it,then it would have run off and you would only have a shot of the lake......lol.

A lovely thought of an Ent washing. Tolkein, an outstanding author... still enjoy reading his books (The Hobbit for some reason was my favourite) and brilliant how you've captured this photo and linked it to a classic.
