I watched this bluejay from my backyard deck for about an hour. He was keeping an eye on his future family and occasionally fighting with a squirrel over who would get dibs on the bird feeder (pesky tree rats). Nikon D-300, 18-200 vr, f/5.6, 1/80 sec. Don't mean to rub in it more but it is wonderful weather we are having. Happy Easter to everyone. Jerry

Looks as though you are getting a grip with your new camera, this is great. IMHO I think you could try cropping from the left hand side to give a more square picture if it dosen't degrade the image too much. To me you have the bird in the centre and by cropping, the composition could be improved. Give it a try. I have a lot to learn myself with this bird photography and am no expert, just offering my humble opinion. The comment is made with all respect to you and your camera skills. (thanks for your vote on the Vixen).
