Great shot, Trevor! I like the boats in the foreground, the light on the castle(?) in the distance, and it's reflection on the water, as well as the tones in the sky. Perfect exposure and composition, as far as Im concerned. I only wonder - but its hard to determine with this particular image - if the horizon couldnt do with a slight cw rotation, but that could be just me. Well done!

Thanks for all the comments & feedback. I think you're probably right about the rotate. I zoomed in and used the ruler & rotate arbitrary to see what needed to be done. I used the upright from the castle to check, & it suggested around 1 degree. I tried it, but I would have lost some of the compostion by having to crop, so I decided to leave it. Bring a spirit level next time!Tongue

Nice "near/far" composition with good repeats in the boats. Lovely exposure and great colour and a good reflection. Well done.

Trevor, if you have difficulty correcting the image with rotate, may I suggest a use of skew as an alternative, this will sometimes save a part of the image you do not wish to lose, while still doing the correction you want. You could even use a combination of part rotate and part skew to keep what you want. I think you might even use the perspective option in the tranform menu to bring in the top and bottom of the left side, as another choice or element of the combination.

Thanks very much to everyone for their comments. I'm off to see if I can straighted the castle a bit.

Hmm.. I don't think it needs rotation. This is an optical illusion since the tower is straight up. Yes, you could skew it but the way the water receeds out of view and the angle of the reflections, just makes it look off kilter. But I think it is nearly straight.

Nice colours in a very nice composition. Sky is wonderful detail and tones work well. The rotation problem is similar to one I had with my Salen Boats which looks off line.
All the best

Colour and clarity on this one are superb and I'm only too pleased to be the 30th. Well deserved.
