Colourful and detailed close-up. Don't know whether it would be posssible but would prefer stalk to be sharply in focus too! ;0) Click

Thanks. Know what you mean John, I have another shot with the stalk in focus that i had intended to use, but I struggled with getting the file size uder 60K. Don't know what I'm doing wrong!? My computer is giving me a few probs at the moment, so I'll blame that. Any helpful hints most welcome.

Your auto-focus has caught the front underside of the fungi perfectly!

Not sure if your camera gives aperture priority mode or not, but the only way to get the stalk in focus also is to use a higher F-stop number.
Most close ups work well with a shallow depth of field though and this shot is no exception!
All that means really though Sandra is, ... I love it as it is!!!

I have been looking for a couple of these fellas for the past few weeks. Unfortunately, all of the ones I have come across have either been badly beaten up or are strangely faded! Great shot.
