Southport Pier at Sunset

By jeni
This is a HDR image from 7 exposures. I'm not 100% sure on the composition, I've not cropped it but feel that the pier ends too close to the centre, however, I have tried to crop it down a little but nothing works.

Fine by me too. The pier is a good lead in to the drama of the sky and sunrise. Nice HDR... Jude

Pier looks just fine to me as Jude said a good lead in, like the HDR finish.

A rather stunning lowlight photograph, which has been captured from a great point of view.

This is a good image of a subject that is difficult to make interesting. Lovely atmospheric shot.

Spectacular scenery.

The diagonal line of the pier is leading right into the glow of the sunset in the bottom third of the scene. It works, I'd be very happy with the shot

I often walk from Waterloo Train Station to Southport, Via Satterthwaites on South Road for a pork pie, but the sky never looks like this when I arrive. A superb effort and I just love all the detail and the lead in lines from the pier.
