What's the time?

Advice please! I like the hazy quality of this but realise that it is not technically good. Why is it hazy? Is it lens flare? Took other which were better but want to know where this one went wrong! Thanks.

Could be one of a few things. The most apparent is probably lens flare - so holding your hand up to stop the direct sun going into the lens would have stopped that, otherwise (and these might sound a bit silly) - but was there any leaves in the way of the lens, or even a finger!!?

Nice pic by the way.

Pretty sure there was nothing in the way. I've got a small hood on the lens but I'll have to remember that it's not good enough in the gorgeous sunshine we've got today! Thanks

I just wonder if you had a little condensation form on the lens, sometimes if the ground is damp on a hot day if you put the camera down on the grass for a short period of time you get a little 'mist' on the lens...just an idea.

Good point Miles. I'd not thought of that. Reminds me of those misty minutes when entering the Eden project jungle section.
