Golden Days of Summer

By Jimbob
I took this shot of a combine Harvester this afternoon on the way home. The countryside is alive with the hustle and bustle of the Harvest and all you can see is the plumes of wheat dust for miles. This fellow will probably be working late into the evening.

Comments and critiques are most welcome; thanks for stopping by to view this photo.

I've just read your "about me" section of the pf and decided you must be on wacky backy. You say you are new to photography and need to learn. This is a portfolio full of excellent work that most on here would be proud of. Composition, colour, exposure, lighting is spot on throughout the portfolio. Really good work.

Hugley appealing shot, Jim, and rather evocative for me as someone who remembers all too well those late evenings harvesting on the family farm. We used to carry on well into the late hours until the damp in the summer night air prevented the combine from cutting cleanly.

Love the golden colour and the almost silhouette feel to the shot. Keep meaning to get out and photograph them myself.

By the way, my wife has just had her first heart bypass and I sympathise with you. Its not an easy thing to deal with at all, especially in the mind department. Hope all goes well with you in the future.
