Schooner "LARINDA"

By JimV
Quite an association between this ship and Halifax as she was moored there in 2003 when Hurricane Juan struck, HMCS Sackville (a WWII corvette) broke from her moorings, struck Larinda sinking her. For a more complete story on Larinda I strongly recommend you visit Wikipedia via 'Ship Larinda', a most interesting read!
Sorry I didn't get a shot of her leaving.

Many thanks for your strong response to USCGS Eagle, very much appreciated.

V1 is a fine capture - the best of this set Jim. Beautiful weather for the shot giving great clarity throughout and good detail.

(The shot of the boys was totally unstaged - I never call out to anyone on the street - stuff just happens)

A fine set of images of this splendid looking ship, sad to hear that she is no more and is now resting on the bottom of the ocean! Good to see the return of George Rusky, that is a blast from the past!
