I spent around 50 minutes taking shots of the trunk & branches of this tree, unfortunately it did not have a label so I am not sure what it is.
However according to the map this was in the Cypress zone, so maybe it is a Cypress ?
Anyhow, this one is about the shapes of the trunk and a challenge to capture bright & dark in the same shot.
The software's Highlight / Shadow controls have certainly allowed me to retain detail in both areas, so it is somewhat "rescued"
If this had been on Velvia transparency film there would have been no chance
Taking a break from photography for a while, will be back for 21st
