This is hugely atmospheric and would make an excellent setting for a film. Superb.

Could be Dracula's' castle except wrong country. Fitting picture for Halloween. Good one

I really like this. The colour tones are super. Although you have balanced the image well with the double staircase, I think it would be worth a crop from the left to draw the eye up the stairs.

I really like this just as it is , sometimes architectural shoats look really good perfectly balanced and this is one of them. Love the atmosphere created by the lighting and tones. Top class will be back to see Helen's mod.

Beautiful find, congratulations! Stunningly presented, the unsual format has worked well here and there's nothing that doesn't fit in or feel left out, if that makes sense!

well spotted, the light is lovely in this and the decay is very theatrical

Beautiful John, just beautiful, both the location and the shot... another tip, other than always pushing open doors, is to always look behind you...
There's only one thing I don't understand and that is why you should want someone to modify this!

Thanks David, and everyone for your very kind comments so far. I'll take your advice David and keep a look over my back. All that was missing was an operatic aria!

Hi John
What a super place, as you said what a great stage.
I have uploaded a mod with a little edge darken and a slight brown tint. I hope this has made the light more effective and adds a real mood to your wonderful image.
Hope you like it.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Not only do you come across the perfect photoographic subject but you then represent it perfectly. I bet your heart was racing when you came across this magical place - I know mine would have been.

Very grim indeed.
Fantastic image of this once beautifully layed out staicase. The lighting looks almost as if it was illuminated for some spectacular drama to unfold. Gramd work and a great find.

Excellent photo! B&W is more dramatic, but here all the hues and textures are much more visible.
