HANG NGA CRAZY HOUSE

By JN_CHATELAIN_PHOTOGRAPHY
Da Lat is an an old French hill station about 250km north East of Saigon. There is an extremely bizarre building in Da Lat. Designed and built by the daughter of Troung Chinh, Ho Chi Minh’s successor.
The Hang Nga Crazy House is reminiscent of some of Gaudi’s buildings in Barcelona with a touch of Salvadore Dali and a bit of Disney World put in the mixture.
The Vietnamese government would have had the place demolished by now if Ms. Dang Viet Nga wasn’t related to a highly respected figure in the Vietnamese political history.
The “Crazy House” is a hotel and every single room is unique. It is not everybody cup of tea but a visit leaves you with a smile on your face during the visit and you have to admire the imagination of the architect/artist. The work is still in progress so there will be more surprises in the near future.
Hoping this unusual house excite your curiosity and who knows might give you ides for changes a few aspects of your own house. Come on, be bold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your comments on the series “SILK”. I’m glad it brought back some memory to people who worked in that industry but I hope it was not too traumatic for Glyndwr.
It was not easy to find a first picture to attract people’s interest. I thought the silky dark hair of the young worker would incite some curiosity

Enjoy the”Crazy House” and have a good evening,

Jean-Noël

"who knows might give you ides for changes a few aspects of your own house." as long as it's got central heating, I don't mind change, thanks for sharing these lovely images with us, and a great write up.
Geoff.
