SITTING AND WAITING

By JN_CHATELAIN_PHOTOGRAPHY
Mui Ne as well as being a fantastic beach is also a fishing port with a flotilla of colourful boats. It is a great sight. The next few series will be about the boats and the people.

So to with is a general view on the harbour. The young woman sitting in the foreground must have got up before dawn and be involved in pulling a net to catch a few fish as seen in my previous up-loads.

f20 1/80th sec zoom at 55mm

Thank you for your comments on The Old Man And The Sea, very much appreciated. Hoping you will like the next series starting with a view on the port.

Enjoy the warm sunny evening and have a good week-end,

Jean-Nol

An excellent set of shots showing us this busy port, version 1 is terrific for the composition and the colours. You could have entitled this one "Sitting on the dock of the bay" like the Ottis Redding song

Good idea Glostopcat but I'll do that title when I go to San Francisco.

I find #1 particularly fascinating as the boats look like toys against the figure in the foreground

V1 - the watcher; V2 - her view; V3 - homing in on the detail. Very well constructed reportage, and V1 is a delight, calm and dignified.

You have produced a great set of images again JNC.
V1 is my favourite by a mile, the composition by the position of the lady is superb, she being on the LHS and appearing to lool out to see.
Maybe she is wondering when 'her ship will come in'.
Congratulations.

So many boats JeanNoel, what a great scene no 1 is, all fine shots, reminds me of an historical shot I saw of Scalloway, with hundreds of herring boats, Adrian

In the first shot you very sucessfully made the girl the centre of attention it is only in the later shots that one can appreciate the scare what initially looks like fishing baskets is actually quite big - very cleverly done.

Stunning photo after the post production, but it seems to me some how the combination of 2 photos, the girl looks bigger than the background subjects that is the boats. it could be due some process or camera technic, the distance of the girl from the boats is not much far away .
