All the photos were taken in the area near my hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
The street seems to be in constant movement. Itís full of activities, noise, smells and already in March it was pretty hot.

A great way to visit Saigon is by cyclo. You are in the middle of the traffic and at junction when you want to turn left you have to cut the flow of traffic and bikes, motorbikes, cars are coming from everywhere. You sit tight and relax as you have put all your trust in the man who is pedalling behind you. Less stressful than walking around and braving the traffic each time you cross the roads.

I like the this scene. The bloke on the cyclo waiting for customers and having a cigarette while participating in the phonecall conversation of the other man. Itís a typical street, nothing special except for the electrical cables (see my last in order to enjoy the tangles of cables).

They are all so fascinating that I had to look at them twice. I marvel at the overhead wires in V1 and find V9 to be intriguing.

Real life. Something totally unknown to the children here today who only see streets from the back seat of the parents' cars. Love the buzz.

Thank you very much for the kind comments.
Many of the older men who today drive the cyclos are former doctors, lawers, teachers, journalists, intellectuals ...etc... During the American War they were working or had connections with the Americans. When the war ended , they were sent to some "rehabilitation camps" for a few years and their qualifications destroyed. The only job they could find on their return is pedalling people around. JNC
