THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA

By JN_CHATELAIN_PHOTOGRAPHY
This man was the leader of the group of fishermen on my previous photos taken on the beach (Mui Ne, Vietnam). He was the one giving orders in the action in my previous photos. In todays up-load, he is involved in sorting out the net as the share of the catch has taken place.

I like his face beaten by the sun and wind. He really shows knowledge and determination in what hes doing.

Thanks you for taking the time and having a look at my photos. Thank you for the comments you left on my recent up-loads.

Feel free to write your thoughts, reactions, advice etc on this series.

Have a good day,
Jean-Nol

This complements yesterday's set. I was trying to put my finger on the magic there but it's the same feeling here, quiet, serious industry, no shouting, no rush, just getting on with the job. I may be wrong, they may have been racing around shouting a lot of the time. But the atmosphere in the pictures is so calm.

#8, in mono enhances this shot, I love # 3 for it's artistic qualities, the almost silhouette, the diagonals meeting in the upper left-- the lacy white of the nets-- all in all, a great set of reportage showing efficient people getting a job done!
