Chives (Allium schoenoprasum) are so common in our gardens that we don’t pay attention to them. In fact they’re quite attractive as well as being tasty when used with fish or potatoes for example. In the summer I add them to salads. The flower has a very strong and nice taste.

The photo was taken in my garden in early June (f8 1/400mm zoom at 300mm natural morning light)
